Community News
Join us for a special opportunity to walk back through time and celebrate the rich history, milestones, and memories of our Junior Campuses before they transition to their new home in Semester 2.
This Open Afternoon invites past and present students, families, staff, and community members to revisit the spaces that have shaped generations of learning and belonging.
See the flyer below for more information.
JC On the Move
As we continue preparing for the exciting transition into our new shared learning spaces, students are gradually being introduced to staff from both campuses both in person as well as through our 鈥淎ll About Me鈥 posters. These posters provide a fun and personal way for students to learn more about the teachers and staff they will see in our new Junior College, helping to build familiarity, connection, and a sense of community before we officially come together.
Our Preps kicked off class visits this week by working in their new spaces with Mrs Auricht, Mrs Knight, Mrs Brosnan and Mrs Taylor. They finished their morning activities with a teddy鈥檚 Bear Picnic in their new lunch space and played in Bush Prep for a short time.
We look forward to supporting students as they form new relationships and grow in confidence throughout this transition.

JC Playground Playbook
At 溏心vlog免费B站, we believe that the playground is more than just a place to run and play 鈥 it is an important space where children learn how to build friendships, practice kindness, and develop social skills in a safe and supportive environment.
To help guide positive behaviour and keep our playground a friendly and fair place for everyone, we will be introducing the students to the JC Playground Playbook. Just like in the classroom, we expect all students to be respectful, make good choices, and treat others with care.
We will be using a simple Green-Yellow-Red Card system to help children understand how their choices impact others and how they can grow from each experience:
🟢 Green Card 鈥 Great Choices!
Given when students are kind, inclusive, and helpful 鈥 such as inviting others to join a game, showing empathy, or using good sportsmanship.
What happens next: They visit Reception after playtime for a small reward and recognition.
🟡 Yellow Card 鈥 Warning!
Given when behaviour needs to improve 鈥 such as being too rough, excluding others, or not listening.
What happens next: The teacher will speak with the student after play, record the incident, and provide support as needed. Repeated yellow cards may lead to further guidance or consequences.
🔴 Red Card 鈥 Serious Behaviour!
Given for unsafe or unfair behaviour 鈥 like hitting, bullying, using inappropriate language, or ignoring a previous warning.
What happens next: The student will go straight to the Reflection Room or Reception, and the Director of Campus will be notified. Parents will be contacted, and if two Red Cards are given within two weeks, the student will lose playground privileges for one day and spend that time with the Director.
This Playbook is designed to support student growth, and to encourage every child to make thoughtful, respectful choices while having fun. We appreciate your support as we work together to create a positive and inclusive playground environment.
If you have any questions, please don鈥檛 hesitate to reach out.

Junior Campus Discos 鈥 Update

The great news is that this will give us the opportunity to come together and celebrate with one combined disco in our new setting. We look forward to sharing more details soon and enjoying this special event together next term.

A New Chapter Begins at 溏心vlog免费B站
When students walk through the doors of 溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 brand-new Junior College for the first time on July 14, they will be stepping into more than modern classrooms and new learning spaces. They will be entering a community built on generations of connection, care and belonging.
For Bec Turner, that sense of belonging has shaped her entire life.
As excitement builds around the opening of 溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 impressive new Junior College campus, Bec is carrying with her decades of memories from the Hume Street site that has been home to generations of 溏心vlog免费B站 families.
The new Junior College represents a significant milestone for the College, bringing junior students together in contemporary learning spaces designed to strengthen connection across the wider 溏心vlog免费B站 community. While the facilities are new, Bec believes the heart of the school remains unchanged.
鈥淲e will take with us the sense of family,鈥 she said.
Bec attended Martin Luther Primary School, now, 溏心vlog免费B站 Hume Street Campus from 1985 to 1991. Decades later, she still remembers the warmth and closeness that made the campus feel special.
鈥淚t has always been very personal and family orientated,鈥 she said.
鈥淭here was such a strong sense of community here. Everybody knew everybody.鈥
That family spirit extended beyond the classroom walls. Bec recalls a time when many school families helped maintain the campus in exchange for reduced school fees.
鈥淏ack then, families would clean classrooms for remuneration of fees,鈥 she said.
鈥淢um would come in and clean of Friday afternoons, and my sister and I would help. That was just what families did. Everyone pitched in.鈥
Bec鈥檚 mother, Ruth Turner, would go on to work at the school for 21 years before leaving the Hume Street campus in 2012. Now, remarkably, Bec herself has also spent 21 years working there as a Learning Assistant and Outside School Hours Care Assistant and Service Leader.
Together, the Turners have devoted more than four decades of service to the campus.
鈥淗ume Street is a huge part of my heart and my life,鈥 Bec said.
However, alongside the emotion and nostalgia, is genuine excitement for what lies ahead.
鈥淭here鈥檚 definitely excitement surrounding the new buildings and the new beginnings,鈥 she said.
鈥淭he new Junior College looks very impressive when you drive past,鈥 she said.
Bec believes bringing the College community together across one campus will create even stronger relationships between students and staff of all ages.
鈥淏eing on one campus will further open connections between children and staff across the whole College.鈥
While there is nostalgia in saying goodbye to the familiar Hume Street grounds, Bec says the move is ultimately about creating opportunities for future generations.
鈥淭here are so many memories here but now it鈥檚 time for the next chapter,鈥 she said.
As 溏心vlog免费B站 prepares to open the doors of its new Junior College, stories like Bec Turner鈥檚 are a reminder that while campuses may evolve, the spirit of a school is carried by the people who call it home.
