Dear Parents and Caregivers

As we move through the middle of Term 2, it is very affirming to reflect on the activities and learning happening at 溏心vlog免费B站. From our Kindergartens through to the Junior College campuses and Secondary College, school life continues to be energetic and full of opportunities for our students. I need to acknowledge and thank our staff who continue to work tirelessly to provide learning experiences and a supportive environment where every student feels known and valued. I am grateful for the partnership we have with families, as together we support the learning and wellbeing of our young people.

Liberation Day

Last Friday was the 8th of May, which you may remember as VE Day, the day World War II ended in Europe. In Germany this day is commemorated as Liberation Day, as the Nazi regime finally capitulated and the horrors it had brought came to an end.

Some 50 million people lost their lives in the war, with the Soviet Union bearing the largest cost (11 million) and 6 million Jewish people were killed in extermination camps, along with millions more in the nationwide concentration camp system, including disabled people, gypsies, gay people, communists and other groups deemed unworthy of life by the Nazi ideology.

JC On the Move

Drop-Off, Pick-Up and Parking

  • Students may be safely dropped off via the designated Drive Through, located in the car park off South Street, adjacent to the Junior College buildings.
  • This area will be supervised by a staff member each morning until 8:30am to support smooth and safe arrivals.
  • In the afternoon, the Drive Through operates from 3:10pm to 3:30pm and is supervised by multiple staff to assist with an efficient and orderly pick-up process.
  • More detailed information regarding Drive Through procedures will be shared with families in the coming weeks via a short video.
  • Families who prefer to walk their children into the College are welcome to use the car park located off South Street. We are fortunate to have ample parking available for our community.
  • Families with children in both the Junior and Secondary Colleges can use the Junior College Drive Through for both drop-off and pick-up.

How will drop鈥憃ff and pick鈥憉p work at Stephen Street?

Clear drop鈥憃ff and pick鈥憉p procedures will be shared with families, including:

  • Designated zones
  • Traffic flow directions
  • Supervision arrangements
These plans are being developed with safety and traffic management as priorities.

Will traffic congestion be managed?

Traffic flow on South Street is a recognised concern. The College is working through detailed traffic management plans, including staggered routines where possible and clear signage to support safe movement.

What about buses and transport arrangements?

Updated bus routes, pick鈥憉p points, and timetables will be communicated as soon as they are finalised. This includes consideration for families who previously used Hume Street or Warwick Street services.

Junior College

From the Junior College Directors of Campus

There continues to be great excitement building around our new Junior College, with another busy and positive week across the College community.

Students enjoyed author visits this past week, with many classes engaging in inspiring sessions that encouraged creativity, imagination, and a love of reading. It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm and excitement these visits generated across the College, with students continuing to talk about the experience well after the sessions had finished.

Host Families Wanted

Host Families Wanted 鈥 Term 3, 2026

溏心vlog免费B站 is seeking two welcoming host families to accommodate two female students from Japan who will be attending the College during Term 3, 2026.

Hosting an international student is a rewarding opportunity to share Australian culture, build lifelong connections, and support young people as they experience school life in Australia.

See the flyer below for more information.

Step Back in Time 鈥 History Week at 溏心vlog免费B站

Join us from 18鈥22 May as we celebrate History Week at 溏心vlog免费B站. Students are invited to step back in time and explore the stories, people and events that have shaped our world.

Throughout the week, exciting activities will be taking place in the Quad during Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes, offering a fun and interactive way for students to engage with history beyond the classroom.

As we reflect on the past, we鈥檙e reminded that history is more than dates and facts; it helps us make sense of the present and better understand the future. As the saying goes, 鈥淵ou don鈥檛 memorise history to pass a test, you study it to understand life better.鈥

We encourage all students to get involved and enjoy this enriching celebration of history.
